A first conversation and a specific casting are different steps. With TALENT, the discussion begins with your profile and goals. If a project enquiry follows, this checklist helps you prepare.
Clarify the purpose first
Ask who will lead the conversation and what it is about: getting to know you, an agency introduction or a specific project. For a casting, request a clear brief. This tells you whether photos, work samples, a script or a particular introduction are expected.
Prepare a short introduction
Practise a simple introduction in your own words: name, location, languages, relevant experience and interest in the project. You do not need a memorised sales pitch. Have your current profile and relevant work samples ready to answer questions with useful examples.
Check the time, place and availability
Confirm the date, time zone, location or call link and a contact method. Be realistic about availability. For travel, clarify the arrangements, expenses and necessary documents before committing. An initial enquiry is not yet a confirmed assignment.
Test your video call setup
Check the camera, microphone, lighting and connection. Place your device securely and choose a quiet background. Keep your charger ready. Open the agreed link in time, but never share private access codes or passwords. Let your contact know if technical problems arise.
Ask about the assignment
For a specific project, useful questions cover the work, dates, location, payment, agreed services and intended use of the images. Request clear information before committing. Contracts and specific arrangements are clarified with the relevant agency or client.
Write down the next step
